December 17th, a most spectacular musical event was held at the Abbey. “The Silence and the Sound” (by Heather Sorenson)a musical presentation of the story of Christmas was performed by a host of approximately 60 musicians from First English Lutheran Church, Ortonville, MN and the surrounding areas. Lisa Berdan, director, led this VERY talented group of musicians. It was a full church of guests-not a chair to spare! The Abbey would like to sincerely thank First English Lutheran Church for donating the free will offering from this cantata towards the ongoing mission here. Thank you Lisa Berdan, Lori Strei (production manager), the musicians, behind the scenes workers and everyone who attended!!! What a beautiful opportunity to hear and listen to the words and songs as we prepare our hearts for Christmas!
